TRAX Preliminary Survey Trip to Lyrebird Pool near Mid Hartley.
Thursday, 2nd November 2017.

# This was a survey or “Recce: trip that was done on Thurs 2nd November.
# 2 Vehicles and 4 members present – Phillip Favaloro, Neil Flower, Jenny Flower, and Matt Smith.
# Purpose of Recce was to survey a trip for the Annual CMS ‘Summer School’ trip which this year will be on Wednesday. 10th January 2018
# This will be a very short trip, in order to allow members to attend the morning session of the Church
Missionary Society Summer School which is held at the Katoomba Christian Convention site.
# Program for the day:
* Morning session at the Summer School is at 9:00am;
* TRAX Trip meets at the Narrow Neck Lookout to leave at 11:30am
* Short but very nice (and easy) trip to the Lyrebird Pool near Hartley.
* Bring Lunch, swimmers, good hat and sunscreen
* Come prepared for a great day.
* We leave Lyrebird Pool for return trip at 4:45pm. So, not a late day.

Spring, and the Waratahs were in bloom.
On the way in, the cattle were very contented in their paddock.
Lyrebird Pool. Photo is deceptive; it’s big enough to swim in.
Phillip and Jenny actually found some fish in the pools.

Really a very nice area and spot for a short trip. Hope to see you there.
