Details: 17th September 2016 Sand Driving – Stockton Beach |
G’day,
I would like to invite you on our next TRAX 4WD Fellowship trip. This is our annual sand driving event. We are going back to Stockton Beach. The wind-blown sand dunes of Stockton Beach comprise the largest continuous mobile coastal sand mass in the Southern Hemisphere.
Learn all the techniques of sand driving and get over that sand. It would be good to recover some vehicles by various methods; snatching, traction aids and winching using a spare wheel as anchor. We’ll need a few volunteers to bog their vehicles. Depending on skill level, we may not need volunteers. Debogging techniques will be learnt on a needs basis, unless you volunteer.
There may be a theory night, depending on who is attending.
NOTE: There is a cost of $10.00 for a 3 day beach permit.
