Details: Saturday July 26-27th TRAX trip – Worimi Conservation Lands |
![]() |
- Meeting at the servo on the corner of Nelson Bay Road and Lavis Lane, Williamtown at 10:00 for a 10:30 start.
- Make sure you have a permit to drive on the beach. This costs $33 for a 3 day pass or $88 if you want to revisit up to one year.
You can join the trip for one or both days. If you’re staying over Saturday night, we’ll camp at Ganyamalbaa Camping Area which costs $33 per site for 2 adults. It is camping on sand and there are firepits but we need to take our own firewood.
All details are here: https://worimiconservationlands.com/
You’ll receive instructions on how to drive on sand. We will get a car bogged (intentionally) so we can try various methods of recovery. We’ll also drive to the top of the dunes to have lunch as we enjoy the views over the dunes, beach and ocean. This is a great spot to bring out your kites! In the late afternoon, you might like to throw a line on the catch some dinner.
If you’re joining for the day, you are welcome to head off when required.
For those staying on Sunday, we’ll do a complete run to the south of the beach, then return to the northern exit at Anna Bay.
Grade: C with recovery gear!
See you on the tracks
