TRAX Trip – Marrangaroo & Cox’s River

For those that want an extra night away, staying at Wallace Lake Camp area of Fri 21st! We recommend you collect any fuel last minute supplies needed in Lithgow and before we head off to find our camp site in Marrangaroo be at Lake Wallace by 9 am for a debriefing before departing 9:30 am.

We will be setting up a base camp along the Coxs River at Marrangaroo campground in Marrangaroo National Park, near Lithgow. They are unmarked campsites and we will spend our days swimming (maybe very cold water in August), paddling and walking or even just 4wd exploring – keen try the Firetruck Hill to the Mt Walker Road track again!

The camp is located off Sugarmans Road. This campground is suitable for tents and 4WD camper trailers – small to medium caravans depending on the route in and out -mostly well graded forestry road network was available in 2023.

We can book up to 20 people or 5 sites online. This area is a 4WD mecca!
No facilities at this campsite – timber table may not be there!
