CMS Summer School 2017.
Tuesday, 10 Jan 2017.
The annual CMS Summer School trip was to the Lithgow Small Arms Museum. I met Matt and Will at Narrow Neck lookout and we met our Mudgee friends at the museum. Eric was already inside looking around; while Dianne was waiting for us outside. The factory was used for more than making guns. They made parts for golf clubs, Singer sewing machines, sheep shearing handsets, hand cuffs, medical implants and a couple of other things that escape me for now. One floor is dedicated to pistols and the other has riffles. At one end of the floor is the SMLE ‘rising sun’ display. From here we went to Queen Elizabeth park for lunch and took in the views at Hassans Walls and Bracey Lookout.
