TRAX trip – October long weekend getaway

G’day,

Matt is taking us on a trip from Aberdeen to Nundle. We are going the back way and passing through Ellerston, Glenrock Station and Hanging Rock.

(Below information provided for Queen’s Birthday Weekend and may change)

We will meet at Jefferson Park Aberdeen which is on the left as you go through town before you cross the Hunter River. We will meet at 11.00am as some of us are travelling up Saturday morning and there may be traffic due to being a long weekend. We will stay the night at Moonan Flat and if we get charged I believe it will be $8.00 per person but there are hot showers and toilets plus if anyone wants to eat out I believe the pub does good meals. More info on the cost when I hear back from them. Sunday night we will attempt to stay at Sheba Dam, Hanging Rock which is free but depends how busy it is as you can’t book but if we can’t get in there I have a couple of other alternate ideas.

On Monday we will have a look at the historic town of Nundle and travel back by a back road to Scone
