Annual TRAX trip to the Orange Agricultural Field days 2016.
20th to 22nd October 2016.
What started out to be a medium sized trip ended up being just 2 groups, namely Phillip & Linda and Neil & Jane. We set out on Friday afternoon 21st October and stayed in comparative luxury at a motel in Blayney overnight. Just as well that we did because it was alreally cold, misty, drizzly night and the next morning to begin with was no better. However by the time we reached Orange the drizzle had stopped, the fog was beginning to clear and by lunch time the sun had appeared. A poor Show this year in comparison to previous years. I talked to a man who was an exhibitor at the Motel and he said that the Show committee had greatly increased exhibitors this year which caused about 30% (his estimation) of exhibitors to stay away. However it was still a reasonable show, although next year we may go to the one at Murrumbateman near Canberra instead which has not tried to increase exhibitors fees. Nevertheless, a reasonably good show, and both of us arrived home safely.
